Two-way technology was among the first methods of implementing pay-per-view. Despite its early promise, the use of two-way techno logy has not become widespread and its use appears to be decreasing. After a review of some of the technical and operational issues we will describe an interactive two-way cable system that is successfully operating. A look to future services will also be made.
