Summation Sweeping CATV Systems (1967)

By I. Switzer, Maclean Hunter Cable TV Limited

Performance standards for CATV systems are constantly being raised while the growing size of systems makes it constantly more difficult to achieve these standards. The setting of system operating levels and overall frequency response is one of the most important adjustments in the set up of new systems and the maintenance of established systems, and is usually very difficult to achieve to the desired standards of accuracy. This paper presents a practical technique for setting system cu rating levels and frequency response in an accurate and reasonably simple way.
